The reason why
was wearing sunglasses indoors during the Davos summit has been revealed. The French president donned a snazzy pair of blue-tinted shades while addressing world leaders at the World Economic Forum on Tuesday (January 20).Although he didn’t explain the choice of eyewear during his speech, Macron had previously disclosed at a military event in Istres, southern France, that he is dealing with an eye condition."Please pardon the unsightly appearance of my eye. It is, of course, something completely harmless," he reportedly said at the time, per The Independent.Macron called it "l'oeil du tigre" or the "eye of the tiger", in a reference to rock band Survivor's song used in the 1982 boxing movie Rocky III, starring Sylvester Stallone. "For those who get the reference, it's a sign of determination," he added.Emmanuel Macron wore sunglasses at the Davos summit.
