Last night, MTV aired a special version of their annual awards ceremony - the Movie & TV Awards: Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). The show honored some of film and television's most memorable moments from the 1980s all the way through to today.
Hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, one of the highlights of the ceremony was a skit in which Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair recreated their iconic kiss from the 1999 movie, Cruel Intentions.
Watch to see how they incorporated the unavoidable Covid-19 element into their recreated kiss...
This is the hilarious moment Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair recreate the iconic kiss from Cruel Intentions for MTV:

The skit started off with the pair emphasizing the cinematic significance of the kiss.
They said: "Thank you, MTV, for not just recognizing the kiss now with the Golden Goat, but also with a popcorn trophy back in 2000 for Best Kiss - making this the single-most awarded kiss in cinema history. You don't have to Google it - I already did."
Blair then delves into how important the kiss was in helping people discover more about their own sexuality.
The actress continued: "I think the reason the kiss has resonated with people for so long is not just the initial shock value, but because it was a catalyst for so many young people to help them realize certain aspects of their sexuality.
"And help make people comfortable to be who they really are."
"It also represented a paradigm shift toward a new dynamic of acceptance in pop culture," added Gellar. "And also, it was super hot."
"So as a special thanks, we'd like to recreate it right here for you guys," Blair says.
At this point, the actresses turn towards each other, preparing for the highly-anticipated follow-up kiss - only for their lips to be met with a glass barrier separating the pair.
Of course, in these times of Covid, the ladies were never going to be able to have an actual bona fide kiss! So, we'll just have to make do with their original smooch and their kiss at the 2000 MTV movie awards - a whole two decades ago.
"Stay safe, MTV, and 2020, end soon," a seemingly disappointed Gellar tells the camera, to which Blair pleads in jest: "Please, love you."
