Fans are convinced that there could be a feud brewing between Euphoria stars Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya.
On Tuesday night (April 7), the actresses took to the red carpet among other stars at the premiere of the HBO show's third season.
While they were promoting the long-awaited series, they did so while keeping a considerable distance from one another at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX cinema in Los Angeles.
It isn't clear if the pair spoke or not, so there's no opportunity for expert or online sleuths to read lips, but this isn't the first time a rift between Sweeney and Zendaya has been suggested.
Some claim that they aren't on speaking terms for a number of reasons, which would explain the alleged tension at Tuesday night's event and the lack of interactions between the actresses.
Zendaya will appear in three highly anticipated films this year, with the recent release of The Drama set to be followed up by Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Dune: Part Three.
Despite this busy schedule, she showed up to the Euphoria premiere, though without partner and rumored husband Tom Holland.
While she posed in a black halterneck Ashi Studio gown, a 't' tattoo on her left side, in tribute to Holland, could be seen by on-lookers.
Aside from this, the 29-year-old arrived late from the premiere, meaning that she missed the main press line where Sweeney and other Euphoria stars such as Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie, were snapped.
Zendaya did watch the first few episodes of the series at the cinema, but she was rarely seen with castmates, with a video later revealing that she quickly greeted them on her way out.
She was only seen hugging Schafer though, after greeting Sweeney and Apatow.
While there has been no official reason given from either camp, it has been suggested by The Daily Mail that a possible explanation on Zendaya's side is her disdain for Sweeney's support of President Donald Trump.
Other sources believe that the rift has continued to grow over time, as one insider claimed that "their paths barely crossed during the making of Season 3.”
Some even attributed the breakdown of the relationship to alleged flirtation from Sweeney's side towards Holland while he was on set, which unsurprisingly rubbed Zendaya up the wrong way.
The 28-year-old posed for pictures along many of her castmates, while wearing a draped white Pierre Cardin minidress.
Sweeney even sat in a central seat at the screening itself, next to her boyfriend Scooter Braun, sharing a big old kiss with him in front of the public.
The actress remained professional despite whispers of a falling out with her co-star, which is different to how she has been towards Zendaya in the past, having praised her presence.
Speaking in 2022, she said: “It’s been amazing to be able to watch her and to see how much of a boss [she is].”
