Reality TV star Lisa Rinna claims actor is 'biggest bully in Hollywood' and 'made her life hell'
Reality star Lisa Rinna is not holding back.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has made explosive accusations about one of her former Days of Our Lives co-stars, branding him one of the “biggest bullies” in Hollywood in her new book. And while the actor in question has largely stepped away from the spotlight, Rinna is putting her experience front and center.
In You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It, Rinna reflects on her lengthy stint as Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives, a role she played from 1992 to 2018. What played out on screen as romance, she now claims, was a very different story once the cameras stopped rolling.
Rinna says on-screen romance hid off-screen tension
During her time on the long-running soap, Rinna starred opposite Robert Kelker-Kelly, who played her love interest Bo Brady. Kristian Alfonso, who portrayed Brady’s other love interest, is also mentioned in the book.
Though viewers watched sparks fly between their characters, Rinna alleges that behind the scenes, she and Kelker-Kelly “hated each other”.
Doubling down on her claims, she wrote: "Remember when Kathy Hilton said I was the biggest bully in Hollywood? Not true. Not even close! I have legit stories about the real bullies in this town. Robert Kelker-Kelly is one of those bullies.
"He made my life a living hell on the set of Days. He was horrible to me. I’d go so far as to say verbally abusive. He was passive aggressive, manipulative, and played weird mind games."
‘He was a ticking time bomb’
Rinna went on to allege that tensions would spill into their work environment, claiming she would receive the “silent treatment” from Kelker-Kelly if she “didn't do what he wanted” in scenes.
She continued: "He was a ticking time bomb.
"I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly. He was unpredictable and it was exhausting."
Kelker-Kelly left Days of Our Lives in 1995. However, Rinna suggested that his departure was followed by unusual precautions taken by the network.
Security brought in after his exit
According to Rinna, the situation escalated to the point where NBC hired security after Kelker-Kelly exited the show.
She claimed: "Suddenly, one day, he disappeared from the Days set. Next thing I knew, Kristian [Alfonso] and I had our own full-time security detail.
"I wasn't worried about physical harm, but NBC had to cover their a**. We had rent-a-cops parked outside out houses and trailers for three weeks and were driven to and from work."
After leaving Days of Our Lives, Kelker-Kelly did not immediately step away from acting. He later appeared in dozens of episodes of General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine.
According to his social media, he transitioned careers in the early noughties and began working as a pilot. He is now a captain and aircraft manager.
