In his usual humorous manner, Lewis Capaldi has hit back at social media users after he was mistakenly named as Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend at Coachella.
The 29-year-old Scottish singer was mixed up with Kim’s new boyfriend, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and named in an X post that featured a picture of the pair in the crowd during Justin Bieber’s performance.
Capaldi shared the post by X account Distinct Post, with the sarcastic caption: “Wow guys not cool such an invasion of our privacy.”
Some X users in the comments failed to understand the amusing comment and lashed out telling him he shouldn’t expect privacy at such a huge event.
Typical of the “Someone You Loved” singer, he raced to the comments to mock the people that believed he was dating the American reality star.
One commenter said: “Tries sneaky link with a billionaire influencer in public and then gets mad when people find out.”
The singer responded to the user by asking him: “is this ur first day on this planet."
He replied to another person who fell for the typo by calling them a “silly billy”.
Eventually the account which shared the original post confessed their surname mix-up and clarified that he had meant to write Lewis Hamilton.
In the thread they wrote: “Guys it was typo. I accidentally promoted Lewis Hamilton to *Louis Capaldi.”
Kardashian and Hamilton were spotted arriving at Justin Bieber’s headline set with Kim’s eldest daughter North West on Saturday evening.
They were later seen dancing in the crowd together with scarves and hoods attempting to conceal their identities and protect themselves from the desert dust storm.
The new couple only made it Instagram official last week when Hamilton posted a video of himself speeding around in a Red Ferrari to the song 'Victory Lap' by Skepta, PlaqueboyMax and FredAgain and Kim Kardashian was in the passenger seat.
