Amy Schumer is embracing the final weeks of summer by celebrating her recent health transformation. The 45-year-old comedian recently posted a series of bikini photos on Instagram, displaying her physical progress while relaxing by the water.
Wearing a colorful two-piece swimsuit, Schumer smiled for the camera and gave her followers a look into her recent vacation. "I never knew there would be days like this," she captioned the post. "No filter as per ushe."
The social media update quickly gathered positive feedback from both her fans and celebrity friends. Actress Kate Walsh showed her support by commenting, "So beautiful, Amy. Happy and thriving."
The post marks another moment where the actress has chosen to speak openly about her body image and health management.
Schumer has spent the last two years discussing the realities of her weight-loss experiences, sharing the positive results alongside the difficult side effects.

"I wanted to share and keep it 100 with you, that years ago - and yes, this is completely unsafe to be driving and making a video - years ago, three years ago, I tried Wegovy and I was like puking," Schumer told her followers.
She added that she eventually sought out alternative care options to see what would work for her body. "I couldn't handle it. I don't know if they've changed the formula or whatever… but anyway, I went on this telehealth meeting with MidiHealth, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself, cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are like nurses and teachers."
In addition to navigating these treatments, she addressed her perimenopause symptoms by starting a new hormone routine. "They put me on estrogen and progesterone because I realized I was in perimenopause and my symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared," she noted.
Finding a workable routine required significant trial and error for the star. During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the comedian explained how her genetic makeup caused severe reactions to certain popular weight-loss drugs.
"I have this gene - GDF15 - which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden, I was vomiting, and then you have no energy but other people take it, and they're all good," she stated.
Although the physical changes happened rapidly, the toll on her daily life was too high. "I lost 30 pounds so quick," said Schumer, who is mom to four-year-old son Gene, whom she shares with ex-husband, Chris Fischer. "I looked great, and I couldn't lift my head off the pillow, so what's the point?"
Beyond her weight-loss experiences, Schumer has routinely used her platform to bring attention to various women's health issues.
In February 2024, she shared her Cushing syndrome diagnosis after observers noted changes in her face, later calling the medical discovery a blessing because it helped pinpoint the root cause of her symptoms.
She has also spoken openly about her struggles with endometriosis and her 2021 hysterectomy, consistently using her public profile to normalize discussions about medical challenges.

Amy Schumer has opened up about the reasons behind her recent weight loss as she shared a series of new bikini photos.
The comedian and actress, 44, has kept her fans updated throughout her health journey, having lost 50lb.
She took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal her new look in a series of bikinis and swimsuits ahead of her recent vacation.
Schumer told her followers: "My mom took these photos of me while I was packing for a trip. And the last photo I’m on the trip.
"This year is about self care and self love. No makeup. No filter. @eres and @therow let’s all appreciate our health our families our friends and have the best year of our lives. Moving forward with no regrets. Just love. #notf**kingaround #perimenopause."
It comes after she recently confirmed she and her husband, Chris Fischer, had decided to end their marriage after seven years.
She wrote in the since-deleted post: "Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.
"We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time."
Schumer also recently revealed that the reason she has lost so much weight is not purely cosmetic - it was to help her "survive" a disease she discovered she had after getting comments about her "puffy" face.
Schumer shared a video taken by her six-year-old son, Gene, which she'd overlaid with information about her condition.
She wrote: "Bedroom tour by Gene. I never ever wear jewelry. I don't get Botox or filler. I didn't lose 30lbs I lost 50.
"Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive.
"I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared."
Schumer appeared to be referring to her Cushing syndrome diagnosis, which is a condition caused by the body having too much cortisol, the primary stress hormone, per the Mayo Clinic.
The condition can cause weight gain in the trunk as well as the face, high blood pressure, and increased stretch marks, as well as skin that bruises more easily.
She added: "Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight. I've had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro.
"Sorry to anyone that lets down. I am pain free and can [play] tag with my son."
She also addressed being in perimenopause as well as the rumors about her marriage at the time, to Fischer who was diagnosed with autism, adding: "Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we can make it through, he's the best."
Schumer had spoken out about being diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome - which some have linked to steroid injections - saying on the Call Her Daddy podcast: "So I got these was getting these steroid injections and so it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome — which I wouldn't have known if the internet hadn't come for me so hard."

Back in 2022, she revealed that she underwent liposuction following the birth of her son, Gene, after struggling with body changes from pregnancy.
Since then, Schumer has openly discussed her experiences with weight loss medications, including Ozempic and Mounjaro, both of which are used off-label for weight loss.
In 2023, she shared her difficult experience with Ozempic, a GLP-1 medication that led to severe nausea and energy loss, making her bedridden. "I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden,” she explained on The Howard Stern Show. "I was like, vomiting - and then you have no energy. But other people take it, and they’re all good. So, God bless them."
After she struggled with Ozempic, Schumer tried Mounjaro, a different GLP-1 medication, and found it to be a much better fit, stating that she had a “great” experience.
“My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy,” she said, per Healthline. “I want to get down more,” she added, referring to the positive effect on her libido. “So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great."

On Tuesday, the 40-year-old comedian shared photos of herself posing on the beach in a long-sleeve, one-piece black swimsuit.
Schumer thanked those who helped her during her endometriosis and liposuction surgeries, revealing on her Instagram Story that she's now 170 lbs. post-procedures.
"I feel good. Finally. It's been a journey thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd(endo) @jordanternermd (lipo)," she began.
"Never thought I would do anything but talk to me after your uterus doesn't contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40."
Back in September, Schumer revealed she underwent surgery to remove her uterus and appendix as a treatment for endometriosis.
After the surgery, she said in a follow-up Instagram post that all of her "lifelong pain" had been "explained" and "lifted out of [her] body," leaving her a "changed person."
Following her surgery, Schumer - who is mom to two-year-old son Gene - said in an audio recording of her post-op appointment that she feels like a new person.
"All my lifelong pain explained and lifted out of my body," she said at the time. "I am already a changed person. I am busting with joy for the new energy I have to be with my son."
Schumer has shared her stance on the thriving industry of cosmetic treatments in the past, offering a diplomatic approach. "I don't judge anybody for having plastic surgery at all," she told Cosmopolitan back in 2014.
"I think the industry surrounding it and the drive to do it and how it seems like usually it's never enough — I think that's bad. I don't think it's great for people."
Last month, the Emmy winner shared a selfie from her dermatologist's office while having the fillers in her face dissolved after she wasn't pleased with the results.
